Since last week, Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been making the headlines owing to a shooting at his Bandra home. To recap: On Sunday, April 14, two men fired four rounds at Khan’s residence at Galaxy Apartments. Within days of the firing, the two accused – Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta, were arrested in Gujarat’s Bhuj and now the search for the weapons used in the firing incident.

As per the latest reports, the Mumbai Crime Branch has recovered a gun and some live cartridges used in the firing outside Khan’s house.

Police recover a gun and cartridges

As per a recent ANI report, the accused Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta have revealed some key information during the ongoing Salman Khan house firing incident interrogation. They reportedly told the Mumbai Crime Branch that they had thrown the gun used for the firing into the river Tapi in Surat, Gujarat. As per the news agency report, two guns were involved in the incident.

The report read, “Mumbai Crime Branch has recovered a gun and some live cartridges used in the firing outside Salman Khan’s house from Tapi River in Surat.” Regarding the second weapon, the portal stated, “The search for another gun is underway.”

The news agency also noted a police source saying that the shooters had two guns and were ordered to fire 10 rounds of bullets. It was also mentioned that the Mumbai Crime Branch took one of the arrested accused, Vicky Gupta, with them to the Tapi River in Surat, where they admitted to discarding the gun. Surat Police Commissioner, Anupam Singh Gehlot also confirmed the Mumbai Police’s involvement in Surat to recover the said firearm. The search effort worked alongside local divers and fishermen to comb through the Tapi River waters.

As per the most recent ANI report, the Mumbai Crime Branch has now recovered the second gun used in the attack at Salman Khan’s Bandra residence. Their recent tweet reads, “Mumbai Crime Branch recovers second gun used in the crime, from Tapi River in Surat, 3 magazines were also recovered along with the gun: Mumbai Crime Branch.” The agency also shared a video of the diver who found the gun, check it out:

Salman Khan is back in Mumbai

In other news, Salman Khan recently returned back to Mumbai after a short trip to Dubai owing to prior professional commitments. The actor made a stylish entry while surrounded by armed guards at the airport.

On the work front, Salman will soon star in the AR Murugadoss starrer Sikandar. The film is currently scheduled to release on Eid 2025.
